I’ve talked a lot about reusing what you have and up-cycling items. Give new life to old picture frames you have around the house or even frames picked up at thrift stores and yard sales.

Here, I used scraps of ribbon to create a new bow, added some twine, and tied everything to the frame. It took all of ten minutes. It’s the perfect farmhouse-vibe addition for your own home, a gift for someone who loves the style, or even something to sell in a retail space whether that’s a consignment or antiques store.

Alternatively, take a pre-made sign of any kind-holiday or not-and jazz it up with a bow and some twine. Add embellishments for a festive touch; add hanging ornaments for a holiday sign, or raffia and twine for a rustic or farmhouse feel. The possibilities are endless, really.

For signs that have a fancier feel or just have a lot going on, a simple bow still finishes it off nicely

You can find these signs in my retail space at The Cotton Depot but I’m always open to custom orders or shipping if they’re still available. Just use the contact form to send me a message. Or, check out my HomeSunflowerDesigns Etsy Shop for ready-to-ship items.
